Bleecker Street has released the official trailer for Victorian Psycho.
Set in 1858, Victorian Psycho follows an unusual governess (Maika Monroe) as she arrives at the Gothic manor known as Ensor House. But as staff members begin disappearing, the owners of the estate (Jason Isaacs and Ruth Wilson) begin to wonder if something might be wrong with their new hire.
Directed by Zachary Wigon, known for his comedic psychological thriller Sanctuary, and adapted by screenwriter Virginia Feito from her novel of the same name, the film also stars Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho), Jacobi Jupe (Hamnet), and Evie Templeton (Wednesday).
Further cementing her scream queen status, Victorian Psycho follows Maika Monroe’s roles in Longlegs, It Follows, Watcher, Villains, and more horror titles.
The film releases September 25th, following its premiere today at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard competition.
