The Creep Tapes, Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice’s anthology series spin-off of their cult 2014 horror comedy Creep, will return September 15th on Shudder and AMC+.

Season 3 will see Duplass’ cringe-worthy serial killer targeting new victims in another six-episode season. The two-episode premiere on September 15th will be followed by a weekly release of two episodes through Tuesday, September 29th.

With Shudder teasing that “Peachfuzz isn’t finished with you yet”, this season’s list of guest stars includes Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House), Nicholas Hamilton (It), Elliott Fullam (Terrifier 3) and Duplass’ daughter, Ora Duplass (Coven Academy).

Filmed with a small crew on a shoestring budget just like the 2014 film, The Creep Tapes expands the horror comedy found-footage format of the original into a half-hour anthology series, in which each episode, presented as a tape from the titular character’s vault, sees a new unlucky protagonist cross paths with Duplass’ socially awkward killer.

Each instalment of The Creep Tapes has seen Duplass and Brice craft a new clever premise to enable another uncomfortable found-footage two-hander that blends cringecore with genuine threat. A highlight of Season 2 was a meta conceit in which David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil, Prisoners) played a copycat killer who was a fan of the footage from the original Creep after watching it on the dark web.
