New photos from ScreenRant have delivered our first look at several new and returning characters in American Horror Story: 13, the upcoming all-star crossover season of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s anthology series. The additions include cult filmmaker John Waters as a creepy “medical specialist extraordinaire” named Mr Phibes, who will work closely with Jessica Lange’s Constance Langdon.

Along with John Waters, among the AHS: 13 newcomers are Madelaine Petsch as Kira, a woman “obsessed with the number thirteen”, and Alex Consani and Avantika as Morwenna and Ophelia, two witches who join the coven led by Sarah Paulson’s Cordelia Goode.

The images have also given us our first look at two Evan Peters villains. The AHS veteran will reprise his fan-favourite roles as Tate Langdon from Murder House and Hotel’s eccentric serial killer James Patrick March.

Other characters returning include Billie Lourd’s Winter and Mallory from Cult and Apocalypse, respectively, and Leslie Grossman’s comedic witch Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt. The role of Papa Legba will now be portrayed by Orlando Jones after the passing of Lance Reddick.

AHS: 13 premieres September 24th on FX and Hulu in the US and September 25th on Disney+ in the UK.
