Connor Storrie is poised to join the MCU.

The Heated Rivalry actor is in talks to star opposite Ryan Gosling in Marvel’s reboot of Ghost Rider. He would play the villain in the adaptation of the Marvel Comics property, which follows a motorcycle stuntman named Johnny Blaze, who makes a deal with the devil and becomes a demon-hunting spirit.

Storrie, who went from complete unknown to international star thanks to the Crave smash hit Heated Rivalry, has quietly been releasing short horror films on YouTube under the handle “Sin Monger”. He also starred in a horror-themed short for Verizon directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple). Playing himself, the ad sees him stalked by a shadowy figure at a secluded woodland cabin.

With Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, Deadpool & Wolverine) directing, the MCU Ghost Rider reboot stars Ryan Gosling as the titular anti-hero. Gosling has long expressed his interest in the role.

Ghost Rider was previously adapted into a 2007 film starring Nicolas Cage, which predates ‘Clayface’ as a horror-tinged superhero film. Gosling’s real-life partner, Eva Mendes, played Cage’s love interest. Cage returned for the 2011 sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

The film has already set a July 28, 2028 release date.
