Loewe is teaming up with Tim Burton and Disney to celebrate The Nightmare Before Christmas with a new capsule collection honouring handmade art. “The more it keeps going that way,” Burton said to Vanity Fair about the rise of AI, “the more I appreciate [the human] side of it.”

The collection features bags, accessories, ready-to-wear, fragrance, and leather goods.

The Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas collection was developed with special access to the film’s archive, including the original sketches and puppets behind Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, and other beloved characters and scenes. The film’s world was then reimagined in leather marquetry, embroidery, print, enamel, and other signature House materials and techniques.

Loewe also released a campaign film featuring brand ambassadors Eva Victor (Sorry, Baby) and David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus), alongside comedian Sandra Bernhard and Jordan Firstman (Club Kid). Produced by Flux Animation Studio, the film uses CGI in a traditional 3D animation process.

“I love [stop motion] because it’s all handmade,” Burton said to Vanity Fair. “When you see the puppets and the sets, you wish everybody could experience the tactile nature of what goes into making a stop-motion film, or any film.”
