Soundtracked by a feisty rendition of Billy Idol’s “Dancing with Myself”, AMC has released the trailer for Season 3 of queer horror series Interview with the Vampire, which has been renamed The Vampire Lestat after the second book in Anne Rice’s TheVampire Chronicles series.
The season follows a fame and power-hungry Lestat (Sam Reid), now living large as a rock star, as he extends his influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving fellow bloodsuckers Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman) to reckon with a massive surge in the vampire population.
After Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) published his in-universe book Interview with the Vampire, the upcoming third instalment of the series will see Lestat set out to tell his side of the story, while also exploring his past, from the French Revolution to the present day. “We’re doing a rewrite,” he declares in the trailer.
AMC previously teased the season with two songs from the soundtrack, “Long Face” and “All Fall Down”.
The Vampire Lestat premieres June 7th on AMC and AMC+. Watch the trailer below.
