Focus Features has launched the Obsession shrine generator.

Conceived as a “thank you” to the audiences who have supported the film, which is on track to earn a stunning figure of over $300 million at the worldwide box office on only a $750,000 budget, the feature allows fans to upload their own photo into Nikki’s shrine, which Inde Navarrette’s character disturbingly creates for Bear (Michael Johnston) when he wishes on a novelty toy for her to fall in love with him.

The generator is hosted on the site www.iloveyousososomuch.com, quoting Nikki after she becomes unnaturally infatuated with Bear as a result of the wish.

Curry Barker’s Obsession has become an unexpected phenomenon, progressively earning more at the domestic box office each weekend until it declined only 9% in its fourth outing. Barker told Phantasmag that he already has ideas for a potential sequel or anthology series.
