Waxwork Records is releasing the original motion picture soundtrack for Jane Schoenbrun’s meta slasher Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma.
Coinciding with the film’s August 21st nationwide release, the specialist record label will release the soundtrack on CD, cassette, and white with blood red splatter vinyl. The soundtrack features tracks from composer Alex G’s score alongside songs by R.E.M., Sally Shapiro, and Okay Kaya. Counting Crows’ “A Long December” and Donna Lewis’ “I Love You Always Forever”, which both feature prominently in the film, are also included.
Ahead of the release of the soundtrack, the original song “Pain is the Heart of Love” is out today. The track features music by composer Alex G, vocals by Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile, and lyrics by writer-director Jane Schoenbrun.
Waxword Records will also release the full score by Alex G — who worked on Schoenbrun’s previous two films, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and I Saw the TV Glow — on September 11th.
