Widow’s Bay had a stellar showing at Night 2 of the Emmys.

Acclaimed by critics and audiences alike since its April premiere, the horror comedy series took home eight statues, including awards for cinematography, original dramatic score, and guest actress in a comedy series for Betty Gilpin.

Triumphing in a competitive category featuring five Hacks stars, Gilpin was a standout on the series as Sarah Westcott, the protagonist of the 1702-set flashback episode “Our History”, which was helmed by X and Pearl director Ti West.

Other winners included production sound mixer Kevin S. Parker.

Already renewed for a second season, Widow’s Bay received 19 nominations in total, the best-ever for a new series. On next week’s third and final night of the ceremony, the show is up for six more statues, including Lead Actor (Matthew Rhys) and Supporting Actress (Kate O’Flynn and Dale Dickey) in a comedy series.
